About
I am a Provisionally Licensed Counselor who has a passion for partnering with
individuals and their families in their search for solace. I have over 19 years of
experience working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, anger
management, obsessive and compulsive thoughts, emotional self-regulation,
communication, and negative body image through working in a variety of settings.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri- St.
Louis in 2004 with an emphasis in children with developmental and psychological
disorders and received my Master of Science In Education-Counselor Education
from Missouri Baptist University in 2007.
I incorporate techniques from Adlerian Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy into my
sessions with an emphasis on the expressive arts, sensory integration, and
mindfulness. I enjoy assisting my clients find their inner strengths as we focus
together on reducing stress and growing resilience.
I have earned my Trauma Studies Certification, am currently working towards my
Play Therapy Certification and AutPlay Therapy Certification, and am also available
for IEP and 504 consultation. I specialize in working with children and adolescents;
however, I highly enjoy providing services to adults as well. Please feel free to make

- How long are sessions? Sessions are 45-50 minutes long .
- What is Expressive Arts Therapy? It is an evidenced based therapy approach that
incorporates elements of movement, music, art, play/storytelling, and moments of
silence to help individuals learn coping strategies and practice new skills in addressing
anxiety, depression, stress, self-regulation, recovery from trauma, and more. - How much do your therapy sessions cost and do you take insurance?
Currently my rate is $95.00/session for clients that pay out of pocket. However, my
sessions are covered through Cigna, Aetna, United Health Care, and Medicaid. - How often will sessions need to be scheduled? Typically, weekly for the first 3-6
sessions and then it depends on the individual's personalized needs. - What are your hours of availability? Sessions are scheduled by appointment only.
